Upgrading Aurea List Manager from version 4.2.1 or lower
If you attempt to upgrade version 4.2.1 to 12 directly, your data is not copied correctly to the new database. To perform this upgrade, you must go through the upgrade process four times and download the right installers from support.aurea.com.
- Upgrade 4.2.1 to 7.0.
- Upgrade 7.0 to 8.9c.
- Upgrade 8.9c to 9.3D.
- Upgrade 9.3D to 11.0.
Note
Lyris Technologies no longer tests upgrades from versions 6.1 and earlier.
Read Important Upgrade Information and Preparing to Upgrade before upgrading.
Preparing your Data
Aurea List Manager 5.0 and higher no longer use FoxPro as its database format.
For more information, see Supported Platforms for a list of databases you may use with Aurea List Manager.
We recommend you perform a dbupgrade
before upgrading.
To perform dbupgrade
:
- Stop Aurea List Manager and open a command prompt.
- Cd to the directory which contains
lyris.exe
and run the commandlyris.dbupgrade
Note
Dbupgrade
may take several hours, depending on the size of your data.
- Be sure to back up your database directory found in your Aurea List Manager directory before upgrading.
- If you are upgrading from 4.x and using the embedded database MSDE, check the total size of your database directory. MSDE is limited to 2 GB for all its tables, so if you have too much data, the upgrade is not going to be successful.
