Uninstalling Aurea List Manager
ListManager uninstalling is going to be done in a few steps.
Before running the uninstall program, be sure you:
- Stop Aurea List Manager and the Aurea List Manager Web Server. For more information, see Stopping Aurea List Manager
- For Windows, remove the Aurea List Manager and Aurea List Manager web server services. For more information, see Windows Services.
- For Unix, remove any
Aurea List Manager start
scripts you have installed. For example,lm start

Uninstalling on Aurea List Manager and Aurea List Manager Services on Windows
Remove the Aurea List Manager services for Windows (if applicable)
- In the left navigation bar, click Start > Program Files > Lyris Aurea List Manager > Services.
- Click on Remove Aurea List Manager Service.
- Click on Remove Aurea List Manager Web Service.
Uninstall ListManager:
- In the left navigation bar, click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
- Select Add or Remove Programs.
- Select Lyris Aurea List Manager.
- Click Change/Remove.
- When prompted to remove Lyris Aurea List Manager, click Yes.
- If there are any files left in your Aurea List Manager directory after the uninstaller has completed, you may safely delete them and the directory manually.
Uninstall MSDE (if applicable)
- In the left navigation bar, click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
- Select Add or Remove Programs.
- Click Change/Remove.
- When prompted to remove Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine, click Yes

Uninstalling on Unix
If you already have Aurea List Manager installed on your Unix system and want to remove it, here are the steps you should take:
- Log in as root on your Unix machine.
- Stop the Aurea List Manager process. On Linux, the shutdown command is:
kill -15 `cat /var/run/lm.pid`
- Delete any
startup
scripts you created on your own. - Change to the
Aurea List Manager/bin
directory. - Run the
uninstall_lm_now script
. It deletes your Aurea List Manager directory and everything in it or, you may remove the Aurea List Manager directory. For example:rm -rf /opt/listmanager
.
