Upgrading from Aurea List Manager 12.x

Upgrading the database may take several hours, depending on the size of your data.
Upgrading Aurea List Manager on Windows
- Shut down Aurea List Manager and the ListManager web server.
- Double click on the Aurea List Manager installer icon.
- When running the Aurea List Manager installer, select Upgrade instead of New Install, and provide the installer with the path where Aurea List Manager's installation folder is. The installer automatically copies the data if necessary, and upgrade the database.
- Allow the installer to start Aurea List Manager and the ListManager web server.
Upgrading Aurea List Manager on Unix

Upgrading the database may take several hours, depending on the size of your data.
- Shut down Aurea List Manager and the ListManager web server.
- Untar and unzip the Aurea List Manager installer.
- Change directory to the directory created by the Aurea List Manager installer.
- Run the following command to start the installer:
./install_lm.pl
- When running the Aurea List Manager installer, select Upgrade instead of New Install and provide the installer with the path where Aurea List Manager's installation folder is The installer automatically copies the data if necessary, and upgrade the database.
- Allow the installer to start Aurea List Manager and the ListManager web server.

Note
- Aurea List Manager 7.5 and above no longer support the Perl-based web interface that is shipped with previous versions of Aurea List Manager. LCP is also no longer supported, which may have been used to create custom scripts. If you have been using the old interface extensively or using custom scripting to run certain portions of Aurea List Manager before Aurea List Manager 7.5, including list member sign-up forms, please contact support at support.aurea.com before upgrading.
- The database owner owns new tables created by Aurea List Manager in MSSQL. In versions before 8.1, the Aurea List Manager tables are owned by the user.
