Applying Variable Conditions to the Target Station

You can define variable output conditions applied to the target station in communication formats.

For example, to only output those companies where the rep assigned to the target station (i.e. the rep whose notebook is the target station) is entered as Rep 1.

  1. Add a configuration entry to define that the Rep ID field in the Station info area can be used in variable conditions (Variable default values for conditions option in the Configuration info area), see General Settings in the CRM.core Administrator Guide.
  2. Start the Communication module and switch to the C.Format info area.
  3. Enable the Output column for all info areas (by clicking on the column header).
  4. Click in the Conditional Output cell of the Company info area.

The Define Search Conditions dialog is displayed.

  5. Define the following variable condition (see Defining Variable Conditions in the User Manual):

Use the Target Station option to determine that the Rep ID is not taken from the current station's record, but from the target station's record (i.e. the receiving station).

Note: The Target Station option is only taken into account when outputting communication data.
  6. Click on OK.

  7. Save the communication format.

Only those companies are output where the rep entered in the Rep 1 field is the rep entered in the target station's record.
