Deleting a Custom Properties File
When a custom properties file is deleted, AlertFind reverts to using the defaults originally provisioned with the application. The default properties file cannot be deleted.
CAUTION
There is no way to recover a deleted custom file. Support recommends that you download and safely archive a copy of any custom files you create before you delete them from AlertFind.
To delete a custom properties file and revert to defaults:
- From the left navigation menu Administration section, click Application Settings .
- Under the Customization Settings section, click the Edit button that appears next to the custom properties file to delete:
- Prompts
- Constants
- Date and Time Formats
- Dictionary
- Download a copy of the custom file to be deleted and archive it for safekeeping. See Downloading a Properties File for instructions.
- Select the custom properties file to be deleted.
- Select Delete from the list of file options.
- Select the Locale of the custom file to be deleted, if multiple languages are available.
CAUTION
Support cannot recreate custom files. Ensure you have a backup copy before you delete the file.
