Package Version Number

Learn about the version number of package.

The version number assigned to packages is composed of 4 numbers, e.g. 7.1.4.9.

• The first and second numbers indicate the version and service pack of the CRM.cockpit installation used to develop the package; in the above example, version 7.1.

  The third number is the cockpit package version number. The version number needs to be entered manually. This number is initially set to 0.

  To enter the cockpit package version number:

  1. Click on Description in the icon bar.
  2. Click on next to Version No.
  3. Enter a version number higher than the current version in the Cockpit Package Version field.
• The fourth number is incremented each time the package is exported. In the above example, the package has been exported 9 times. This number is initially set to 0.

When exporting formats, the current package version number is written to formats where no version number is entered, or which have been updated/added since the last export, see Format Versions .
