Vertical Independent Configuration
Learn about the vertical independent configuration.
The data model on base stations (station numbers 10,000 - 10,014) only contain those info areas, fields and catalogs present in all verticals. All vertical-specific elements are hidden or displayed as inactive (e.g. when defining access rights). This allows you to make general changes to the data model on this base station and distribute the changes to packages for individual verticals.
Base elements (info areas, fields, catalogs) are identified by special IDs:
Info Areas
-
Base info areas: Info areas that are identical in all verticals (e.g. Rep (ID), Station (AS) etc.) use the common info area ID. Use the
--writedbstr
parameter to generate the filemm_rel_core.txt
, which contains a list of all common info areas, >> mmba.exe Parameters in the CRM.core Administrator Guide. - Base info areas with different codes: Info areas whose contents are identical, but whose info area codes differ have an additional base info area code which is used in XML reports and to define variables (in the Variable info area).

Info areas containing base fields: Info areas present in all verticals, but whose fields are only partially identical (e.g. Company) use base field numbers for the common fields. Use the
--writedbstr
parameter to generate the filemm_dbfnr_core.txt
. This file contains the common fields in these info areas together with the common field numbers, >> mmba.exe Parameters in the CRM.core Administrator Guide.
Fields
The following number ranges apply to base fields (see above):
Field Number |
Vertical |
Comment |
---|---|---|
1000-1999 |
Base |
For all verticals |
2000-2499 |

3000-3499 |

The file mm_dbfnr_core.txt
contains all base fields and the base field numbers (see above). Base fields numbers are displayed as the third field number in the window containing all fields in an info area, >> Displaying all Fields in a Mask in the CRM.core Administrator Guide.
Catalogs
Base catalog numbers exist for variable catalogs using the following number ranges:
Catalog Number |
Vertical |
Comment |
---|---|---|
20000-22999 |
Base |
For all verticals |
23000-23999 |

25000-25999 |
OTC + FS |
The file mm_catno.txt
contains the base catalog number for base catalogs (in the last column), >> mmba.exe Parameters in the CRM.core Administrator Guide.
There is no differentiation between base and vertical-specific fixed catalogs. Vertical-specific fixed catalogs are located in the number range 10-29. Please note that the order of catalog entries (and consequently their index) may differ between verticals (e.g. in the Activity info area).
