The Smart Document feature can be customized for a library with the options listed below:
Customizing Labels
This feature allows the user to change the labels such as Domain, Group and
Artifact in the Document Group section of the Smart Document User
Interface (UI).
To change the labels, overtype the default names.
Smart Document API Assembly Configuration
Smart Document API Assembly Configuration provides the ability to hand-off processing to
a custom built assembly that supports client-specific logic. It opens the NextDocs
architecture to custom events. In this UI section captured in the image below, provide
the name of a Dynamic-Link library (DLL) that contains the code customizations for the
Smart Document. NextDocs strongly recommends that this feature should be managed by the
NextDocs services representative if it is needed.
Enable Copy of Smart Document
Activating the copy feature of Smart Document allows users to copy an existing document
and its properties as a base for creating a new document. Refer to
Copy a Smart Document for more details.
Enable Move/Reclassification of Smart Document
The move feature allows users to move and/or reclassify the document within the Smart
Document folder structure. Documents created using Smart Document are stored based upon
the Domain, Group and Artifact selected. After the document is created and stored, if
the user determines that one or more of these attributes must be changed, the
move/reclassify feature will reclassify the document and move it to the correct location
based upon the new Domain/Group/Artifact combination.
Disable File Upload for Smart Document
The Disable File Upload feature allows the administrator to disable the option to create
a document from a file. If this checkbox is checked, the
Document
Source is defaulted to
Create document from
template.
