Utilities: Administration: Administrators: Permission Groups: Add Permission Rule
To learn how permission groups work, see Utilities: Administration: Administrators: Permission Groups.
Action
Select Allow or Deny from the drop-down menu. Allow enables the user assigned to this group to access the URL entered below, and Deny does not allow.
URL Pattern
Enter the URL pattern or word for which the user is allowed or denied access to. This is what Aurea List Manager searchs for in the URL of every page that this user tries to log into.
Examples:
- 1. Choose Deny from the drop-down menu, and enter "CSV" in the URL Pattern field: CSV
- 2. Choose Allow from the drop-down menu, and enter
This user is not allowed to download any CSV files in Aurea List Manager. Every time the user tries to download a file and Aurea List Manager tries to go to the URL containing the word "csv", it denies permission and display a message informing the user that they do not have permission to access this. If it is set to Allow, the user can seamlessly access the CSV page.
/utilities/administrators/
in the URL Pattern field. This user is allowed access to the Administration section of Utilities.
Do not use the full path. Omit http://yourserver
.
Description
Enter a relevant description for this rule. It can be up to 100 alphanumeric characters in length.
Rule Order
Enter the rule order to be applied for this rule. Aurea List Manager reads them from lowest to highest, starting with rule 1. If there are skipped numbers, it also reads in order.
For instance, if there is a rule 1 and a rule 3, it obeys them in that order. If you try to enter a rule with an existing order number, it automatically creates it with the next order number available. The default order number is the next available one, so if you have rules 1-5 set, the default number is 6.
