Import Bans
For complete information on how member bans work, and the member bans main page, see Features of ban addresses.
Find below the settings when you want to import bans in Members > Ban Addresses
Email addresses
Enter the complete email addresses you want like to ban, separated by a carriage return. For example:
john@example.com
mary@example.com
Note
The email addresses may be upper or lower case but are saved in Aurea List Manager as lower case.
Type
There are three types of bans:
- Always accept
- Conditionally accept
- Reject
If an address matches an Always accept
ban rule, it is accepted with no further processing.
Addresses that do not match any Always accept
or Conditionally accept
ban rule
are rejected.
Records found in Conditionally accept
are accepted if no explicit reject information is
found. Records found in Reject
are rejected automatically if matched. For more information, see Features of ban addresses
Applies to
Set the list, site, or server, that member ban applies to. The options you see here depends on your privileges, whether you are a list, site, or server administrator.
For example, if you are a
site administrator, you are able to create list or site bans, but not server bans. The Applies to
field defaults to the current list.
For information on how to specify one server to handle all banned members, see .Advanced: Global Ban Settings
