Managing Relationship Type

Only a system administrator can manage existing relationship types. Management of relationship types includes the following:

  • Edit – All options are modifiable except Relationship Type, Binding Rule and Entity Type
  • Delete – All options are deletable except Relationship Type that has active relationships
  • Disable – A disabled Relationship Type does not appear on the list of available relationship types on the Document Relationship (DR) User Interface (UI), and existing relationships of this type remains in effect
  • Enable – Makes a disabled Relationship Type available for selection from the list of relationship types on the DR UI.

To manage a relationship type:

  1. Access the DR UI
  2. Select the relationship type by clicking on the name.
    • To edit and make all modifications, click Update
    • To disable/enable, click Disable or Enable at the bottom of the page
    • To delete, click Delete
