TCLPORT Hosts

This is a required setting. It defines the TCP/IP address of the computers which are allowed to access the Tclport on your server. Tclport is used to generate the web interface, run scripts, and to communicate global bans from a global ban server.

If you are hosting the ListManager web server (httpd-lm.exe) on a separate machine, the IP address of that machine must be listed here. If this Aurea List Manager instance is being used as a global ban server, the IP addresses of the connecting Aurea List Manager servers must also be listed here.

Note

If you remove the TCP/IP address of the computer you are using to run the web interface, you will be locked and no longer able to access the web interface.

Also, if you copy the web interface programs to another web server, the Aurea List Manager does not allow that web server to access it until that machine is added to the list of Tclport Hosts. You receive an error from the Aurea List Manager Web Interface on that computer. See Installing the Web Server on Another Machine.

If you do this, you need to shutdown your Aurea List Manager and run the command: lm tclport tcp/ip-address. This adds the specified tcp/ip-address to the list of Tclport hosts. For example:

lm tclport 207.105.6.2

When first installing Aurea List Manager, the TCP/IP address of the machine running the Aurea List Manager is added to the list of Tclport hosts. If you are running the Aurea List Manager Web Interface on another computer, you can remove this setting.
