Viewing User, Group, Team, and Site Management Settings
The User Management Settings, Group Management Settings, Team Management Settings, and Site Management Settings sections contain tables that display which users, group members, and team members have certain permissions in the system. These permissions are set during the provisioning process, when Support works with you to determine which information from your roster import is public and which is private, and which users in your organization should have view or edit permissions for each type of data.
By defining certain information as private, you can use permissions to control who can see it. For example, a home phone defined as private
is displayed only to users who have been given View Private User Data (VP)
permission. For any user without such permissions, the label private appears instead of the information.
Because permissions are set per team, a team leader may be able to view private information for one team but not for another. The exceptions to this are:
- Administrators can always view public and private information.
- Users can always view their own private information.
To change private data, users must have View Private Data (VP)
and Manage Private User Data (MP)
permission. To change public data, they must have Manage Public User Data (MU)
permission. For more information about permissions, see Permissions.
The information in these sections is provided for your information only. It cannot be edited from this page. To make any changes to these settings, contact Support.
