Employee directory - Overview
The Bonzai Intranet People Hub (or Employee Directory) web part provides a simple and easy-to-use interface whereby users may search for people within the organization.
It provides capabilities such as filtering, type-ahead search, alphabetical filters and multiple display options. Searches may be based on one or more properties associated with the users (by way of the User Profile Service), increasing the searchability of people within the Employee Directory.
This web part is designed to help connect and find users quickly and easily based on user data from such systems such as Active Directory or other external sources.
The web part provides many features such as:
- Ability to customize the filters that users can use to filter users on
- Ability to customize the metadata that users see without the need for custom code
- Ability to show have wildcard search enabled
- Ability to customize the typeahead search experience for users to organizational needs
- Ability to see users in a list or grid format
