System requirements and supported platforms

Here you can find information about the required system elements for the application and the supported platforms. The system requirements listed here should be met before using the application.

Required software is noted below, with an emphasis on the following terms:

• Certified - this release was tested specifically against this configuration.
• Supported - this release was not tested against this specific configuration, though it remains supported as differences between it and the certified software are minimal or not applicable to Bonzai.

Supported Office 365 subscriptions

Bonzai is supported for use with the following Office 365 plans that include SharePoint Online:

• Office 365 Enterprise E1, E3, E5, F1
• Office 365 Education
• Microsoft 365 Business Standard (formerly Office 365 Business Premium)
• Microsoft 365 Business Basic (formerly Office 365 Business Essentials)

In addition to the Office 365 plans, Bonzai is supported in the SharePoint Online plans:

• SharePoint Online Plan 1
• SharePoint Online Plan 2

SharePoint Online Plan 1 Limitations

SharePoint Online Plan 1 does not include the web content management-related search features and other enterprise features: Content Search, Catalog-Item Reuse, Items Matching a Tag, Pages, Pictures, Popular Items, Recently Changed Items, Recommended Items, Videos, Web Pages, and Wiki pages. While these features are useful in your intranet, Bonzai does not require them to function.

The following plans use SharePoint Online Plan 1:

• Office 365 Enterprise E1, F1
• Office 365 Education
• Microsoft 365 Business Standard (formerly Office 365 Business Premium)
• Microsoft 365 Business Basic (formerly Office 365 Business Essentials)

Frontline (F1) limitations

Users with a Frontline (F) subscription (previously called “Kiosk”) cannot be administrators of SharePoint Online and cannot see the SharePoint Online navigation menus. To properly administer SharePoint Online you will require at least one user who has an E1, E3, or E5 license.
