Revision Document

To create a new version of a document that has been approved to a final version, the administrator must manually start the eTMF New Document Version workflow. When the workflow is initiated, the following will occur:

  • The document’s Lifecycle Status is set to “Draft”.
  • The Workflow Status is set to “New Document Version Complete”.
  • The document’s version is set to the next minor version. For example, if the document was at 2.0 when it was finalized, it will be set to 2.1 when it is revisioned.
  • The major version entry in the Version History will be removed and the new version will be set to the “Unfinalized document version”.
