Using CRM.phone with Skype for Business (Enterprise Feature)

CRM.phone is integrated with Lync or Skype for Business client as an underlying telecommunication system.

The following versions of Lync and Skype for Business client are supported:

  • Microsoft Lync 2013
  • Microsoft Skype for Business 2015
  • Microsoft Skype for Business 2016

Aurea CRM enterprise customers can use CRM.phone to make and receive Skype for Business client calls. To make and receive Skype for Business client calls, CRM web users should have Skype for Business client installed and running on their local systems. Calls made by the user from the Skype for Business client or CRM.phone are automatically logged and synchronized in both the Skype for Business client and CRM.phone.

Note: In this document, the term “Skype for Business tool” refers to “Lync or Skype for Business client”.

CRM.phone functions are common to all underlying communication systems like TAPI or Skype for Business tool. While this chapter describes some of the configuration requirements for Skype for Business tool, CRM.phone configuration descriptions provided in the rest of the guide are equally applicable to Skype for Business tool, as they are for TAPI.
