Configuring CRM.phone to use Skype for Business Client

Learn to configure CRM.phone to use Skype for Business Client.

Configuring CRM.phone to use the Skype for Business client telecommunication system requires you to create a CRM.phone profile in the Rights Module.

The DLL file containing the interfaces that allows CRM.phone to communicate with the Skype for Business client is CRMLyncCore.dll. The DLL file name is provided in the DLL System field in the System tab of the Telephone profile configuration dialog. See the screenshot below:

You also have to enable the Device by Name and Permanent Call control fields under TAPI Settings, as seen in the screenshot above.

Once a CRM.phone profile for Skype for Business client is created, you can associate it with any user to enable him to use the Skype for Business client as the underlying telecommunication medium.

Note: The CRM user should have Skype for Business client installed on his local system.
