Document portal configuration
There are many configuration options for the Document Portal. Following are the configuration options:
Result Source: The SharePoint result source that is used to show the results.
Search Label: The label that is shown by default in the search box.
Show sort dropdown: Ability to show or hide the sort drop down.
Items Per Page: The number of items shown per page.
Enabled Wildcard Search: Whether a wild card is added to each search term. If this option is enabled, it provides great recall (more results come back) but lower precision (the results are less accurate). Recommendation is to have this setting disabled by default.
Trim Duplicates: Enables or disables the Trim Duplicates option in SharePoint search.
Show Results: Whether to show results or not. Commonly used to only use the Search Box functionality of the web part.
Show Popular Searches: Shows the popular searches on the web part.
Show Favourite Documents: Show the favourite documents and allows users to favourite documents.
Show Document Previews: Shows a live preview of the document.
