Web parts that support promoted items

The following web part support the promoted items capability:

• News Roll Up web part
• Events Roll Up web part
• Slider web part
• Document Roll Up
• Document Table Roll Up
• Pages Roll Up web part
• People Listing web part

When Show Promoted Items is enabled for the web part any item that has the promoted flag set shows an icon on the web part.

The image below shows an Events web part with Show Promoted Items option disabled:

If the option is enabled, and the item has the flag set, then an icon will appear to show that the item has been promoted as can be seen below:
