Introduction

Aurea CRM connectLive is a plug-in for Microsoft Outlook.

It is available for Outlook 2010 and higher and, therefore, needs to be installed on the client. With CRM.connectLive, users have direct access to a contact person's data and child records as defined by the administrator, e. g. contacts, opportunities or project participations. CRM.connectLive communicates with the CRM.groupware server via XML over http(s) messages.

Basically, CRM.connectLive is configured in one configuration file, the configuration.xml. This file contains general information like URL, port of the groupware server as well as the definition about the data from Aurea CRM that needs to be displayed. If CRM.connectLive runs in combination with CRM.connector SE for Exchange, the user also can - in addition to accessing CRM data directly in Microsoft Outlook - link e-mails and appointments with CRM data (e.g. Opportunities). If the user moves or copies these e-mails to the synchronization folder, CRM.connector will synchronize them with the Aurea CRM database.
