Bonzai Intranet administration (BIA)
BIA is a hosted application by Bonzai Intranet that is accessed through username and password over SSL.
It is implemented as a provider-hosted SharePoint Add-in that authenticates using OAuth. This ensure that no unsecure data is passed to BIA and that all actions are performed in the context of the currently logged in user in Office 365.
BIA provides the following capabilities:
- Ability to provision sites to a Bonzai Intranet environment: BIA allows your organization to provision additional sites and features to the targeted Bonzai Intranet Site Collection. This is done using CSOM based on the Microsoft Patterns and Practices framework recommended by Microsoft.
- Ability to change various Bonzai Intranet settings in your environment: BIA stores a number of different Bonzai Intranet settings that can be easily changed by an authenticated BIA administrator that is part of your organization. These settings are then pushed down to all users.
- Ability to add and change various sites to an existing Bonzai Intranet environment: BIA administrators can quickly and easily create new sites with an existing Bonzai Intranet Site Collection as well as enable Bonzai Intranet features. These sites and features are configured within BIA with executes the remote provisioning code on the selected Site Collection.
