Enabling or Disabling a Device

When you view your Notification Devices list, you will notice that disabled devices a listed in gray text, with the label (disabled) next to the device name. These devices are configured, but cannot receive notifications until they are enabled.

Devices listed in black text are enabled and can receive notifications. You can disable these devices if you no longer want to receive notifications on them.

To enable or disable a device:

  1. Log in to AlertFind, then click My Account from the navigation menu. Your User Overview page appears.
  2. Click Notification Devices from the list of User Editor options. The Notification Devices page appears.
  3. Select the device that you want to enable or disable.
  4. To enable a disabled device, click the Enable button at the top of the Notification Devices list. The enabled device is listed in black text.
  5. To disable an enabled device, click the Disable button at the top of the Notification Devices list. The disabled device is listed in gray text, with the label (disabled) next to the device name.
