Document Audit Log
You can set audit log options at a site collection level. The SOP solution enables more robust and easier to read audit log format. For a complete list of all audit log events supported by the SOP solution, refer to the Event Details.
Tip: The legacy audit log and local time offset are mutually exclusive. The
local time offset is not available with the legacy format. Logging of check-in comments
is available with both the formats.
The configuration options include:
- Use Legacy Audit Log – Not used with the SOP solution
- Use Local Time Offset in the audit log – Allows the users to identify their location
to be used in the audit log to display the local time in addition to the server
time.
- The local time is displayed only for user-generated events and not system generated events.
- The local time is not displayed for events that happened before enabling this feature.
- User entry or verification of time zone is required during login.
- Log Check-in Comments – Enables logging of check-in comments.
- Records an NDCheckIn event when a document is checked in, that includes the check-in comments in the description portion of the audit log record. This event is persistent.
